The Rosedale mainstreet business improvement area is accepting applications for its annual:

 

Rosedale Art Fair

Saturday June 13, 2020 and Sunday June 14, 2020

The ROSEDALE MAINSTREET BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA represents over 180 businesses along Yonge Street from Woodlawn Avenue to Crescent Road. The purpose of our reputable ROSEDALE ART FAIR is to draw people into our neighbourhood to shop, dine, experience our events and enjoy all we have to offer!

The ROSEDALE ART FAIR is a wonderful opportunity for over 80 artists to show and sell their work in one of Toronto’s most upscale and prestigious neighbourhoods alongside fellow established and emerging Canadian artists. Now in its 7th year, RAF has become a destination for art connoisseurs and art lovers, gallerists and designers alike, as well as novice buyers who are seeking to find the perfect piece for their home. Many artists call RAF their favourite outdoor show with several claiming record sales. Our new location in RAMSDEN PARK is just off of bustling Yonge Street and is highly visible by the many people who frequent this major thoroughfare.

The ROSEDALE ART FAIR is an outdoor fair held under large 20’ x 40’ tents provided by us. Each artist is alloted a 5’ x 10’ booth space within the tent. Booth fees cover the cost of the tent rental and RAF will provide all the setup of the booths. Artists may use their own freestanding 10’ grids in which to hang their artwork. RAF will recommend a grid rental company if needed, and that information will be provided to artists with their acceptance email. We will also be offering a limited number of 10’ x 10’ individual tents on a first come, first serve basis. Please indicate on your application form if you would like one.

Artwork may be left overnight as we do have security patrolling the grounds, however, RAF is not responsible for loss or damage to artwork.

5’ x 10’ booth under 20’ x 40’ tents $350.00

 

ONLY IF AVAILABLE:
10’ x 10’ individual tents $450.00

5’ x 10’ booths under the 20’ x 40’ tents will have access to a 115 v electrical outlet upon request. Please indicate on your submission sheet.

 

WHO CAN APPLY
Established and emerging artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. We will be accepting fine art only including fine art photography, fine art printmaking, fine art digital media and fine art lithography, collage, painting and drawing in all media. No reproductions of original artwork on merchandise such as giclee, postcards, posters, calendars, note cards, notebooks, buttons or pins will be accepted. No crafts including jewellery, decor items, or clothing will be accepted. All work must be original work produced by the artist. Not adhering to our policy may have the artist asked to leave our show. We ask you to kindly respect our wishes.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ARTWORK
Fill out the Artist Application form provided along with three samples of your work in the form of photo attachments, PDF or provide your website address for the curator’s review to: art@rosedalemainstreet.ca

 

HOW WE SELECT YOUR APPLICATION
The ROSEDALE ART FAIR is a carefully curated art show and sale. Therefore when choosing participants for our show, we search for artistic excellence, uniqueness of work, and overall work that is consistent.

 

LATE SUBMISSIONS
Late submissions to RAF will be accepted if not all spots are filled for our show. If you are selected to do our show and all spots are filled, you will be put on a waitlist and contacted if a spot becomes available. Preference will be given to those who applied by due date.

Upon acceptance you will receive your booth number, payment information and further information regarding grid rental, signage and loading in/out and more.
