I created ‘Organica’ while caring for my mother post knee replacement surgery. Their movement reflects what I wished for her – flow returning & strength rising. My Punjabi heritage flows through this work; so much of my resilience comes from her, from the strength she’s lived and taught me. These paintings hold that lineage of endurance and quiet hope.
I am an Indian-Canadian mixed media artist based in Oakville, Ontario, creating layered, culturally informed abstract works that explore identity, memory and transformation. My practice blends texture, symbolism and fragments of personal history to reflect the many places, traditions and lived experiences that have shaped me.
Originally trained in Art & Advertising Design at the New York City College of Technology, I returned to painting in 2020 after a long and fulfilling design career. In the past five years, my work has been showcased in over twenty exhibitions across Canada, including a solo show in Hamilton and participation in the Art Gallery of Hamilton Art Sale 2025. My pieces are part of public and private collections in Canada, India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, with notable placement at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
