Sky Reflections is a contemporary oil painting series inspired by my daily experience of moving through the downtown city, surrounded by glass, light, and tall buildings. Living within this environment made me notice how the sky constantly changes as it reflects off windows and façades, creating unexpected colors, patterns, and moments of calm. These reflections express a sense of quiet urban luxury, where the city feels refined, luminous, and emotionally present.

Before starting a painting, I spend time in the city observing, walking, photographing, and taking notes. Sometimes I paint in plein air to better understand color and atmosphere. This process is essential to me, I need to fully experience a place before translating it into paint. In the studio, I work from memory and emotion rather than exact references, allowing the work to remain intuitive and personal.

I work in oil using glazing techniques to build depth, softness, and reflective surfaces. Layering thin, transparent paint helps me recreate the mirror effect of glass and sky while maintaining a balance between realism and abstraction. This approach gives the work a contemporary feel with a refined, luxury oriented finish.

At the core of my practice is a curiosity about the future and how nature and man-made environments continue to blend. By combining sky reflections with urban structures, my work explores this relationship in a quiet, reflective way. Through this series, I invite viewers to pause, look upward, and connect with the atmosphere of the city in a more thoughtful and human way.
