My practice is rooted in a fascination with light. During my thesis at OCAD University, I explored large, gestural canvases inspired by the shifting light on water’s surface and the way it pulls us into quiet moments of self-reflection. After graduating, I traveled through Europe and found that same light bouncing off city windows, spilling through gardens, and glinting across quiet corners, expanding my practice into a broader exploration of how light transforms everyday spaces.

My process is intuitive and layered: each canvas begins with a wash of magenta before I build colour by hand, guided by photo references from my travels and daily life, but shaped by emotion and memory rather than replication. Through my work, I aim to create open, reflective spaces that invite viewers to pause, look closer, and shift their perspective.
