Dan Wu graduated from York University’s Fine Arts program with a focus in Visual Arts. Now retired, he has rediscovered his creative passion through encaustic painting—a dynamic medium using melted beeswax. Dan has been exploring in this medium and experiments with a wide range of techniques, making his own encaustic medium and coloured waxes by hand.
He finds inspiration in landscapes, nature, and abstract forms, often drawn from his travels and love of the outdoors. His work explores texture, movement, and the unexpected beauty that emerges through the layered encaustic process.
