I create acrylic landscape paintings on gallery-wrapped canvas inspired by Canadian forests and lakes, informed by the bold, vibrant colour sensibility of my Latin American roots. My practice often explores seasonal transition, frequently through quadriptych compositions that depict a single landscape illuminated by a consistent light source as it evolves through the four seasons (I’m attaching one of my quadriptychs “Where the Light Changes”).
Alongside these works, I also produce individual landscape paintings that examine light, atmosphere, and place. Using expressive brushwork and layered colour, my work investigates nature’s resilience, movement, and transformation, aiming to evoke a sense of renewal and quiet connection to the natural world.
